With the world becoming more and more paperless every year, there is something about receiving a real, live Christmas card in the mail that helps me retain those important elements of nostalgia and warm feelings that accompany thoughts and memories of beloved family and friends every year. For me, it is worth the $50 in stamps in order to participate in that tangible tradition that brings me such joy at Christmas time. This year, however, circumstance has forced us to relent, to cave to the call of convenience and the lure of electronic communication in order to deliver our annual family Christmas greetings. To say I feel like a royal holiday renegade would be a slight understatement. Therefore, I hereby vow that this communication choice will not extend beyond this Christmas only!
And with that introduction…
Major milestones and highlights for our family this year included the three big ones: a move, a job change, and a new baby (due to arrive any day). Needless to say, change has been a concept we have become well acquainted with. As we reflect upon the birth of our Savior this Christmas, we recognize with soberness and gratitude His Hand in our lives. We have received answers to prayer after prayer and witnessed miracle after miracle. We celebrate the growth that our family has experienced with joy and happiness this Holiday Season. This degree of gladness would not be possible without the love, guidance, and grace of Jesus Christ in our lives.
May you enjoy similar peace and happiness through the gift of that Infant King this Christmas Season.
